Ineffa Kit Analysis: Underwhelming Numbers & ‘Moon-Electro’ Reaction Potential
Hey Travelers! The wish animation for Version 5.8’s new character Ineffa has been revealed. There’s still significant controversy surrounding her design, and I expect quite a debate when she’s officially announced. As for her combat performance… well, the numbers aren’t impressive at all – low off-field multipliers and weak support capabilities.
The new ‘Lunar Electro-Charged’ reaction isn’t looking too strong damage-wise either. Mechanically it’s just… fine. No major flaws, but nothing special either. The bigger issue is that it requires an on-field DPS to enable it, and there’s a real risk that when Version 6.0’s Electro DPS arrives, they might just bring their own better teammates for Lunar Electro-Charged instead of using Ineffa. Honestly, I don’t expect any buffs – being the first Lunar reaction character means she’s basically destined to be experimental. Realistically, she’ll probably end up mid-to-low tier. As for pulling recommendations in 5.8? You’re probably better off prioritizing Nahida and Chevreuse!
First Look at Mare Jivari Gameplay Footage
Genshin Impact Version 5.8 will feature two new map areas. The first is the Summer Event map, which continues the festive amusement park theme. This map will actually complete Natlan’s remaining exploration progress, since the summer event takes place at a resort within Natlan itself – meaning all the Oculi and treasure chests will be located here.
We’ve also gotten our first look at the Mare Jivari (Sea of Ashes) gameplay. This area has an Abyss-like aesthetic, and interestingly features Bennett’s constellation symbol within the zone. Beneath this constellation lies what appears to be an arena-like combat area where we’ll be fighting!
It’s honestly disappointing that this location, which has been hinted at since Venti’s Story Quest in Version 1.0, only unlocks a small domain area housing an immortal beast. Now we’ll have to see how the World Quest expands on this. Then again, Mare Jivari is meant to be the windless land of ashes – perhaps it’s simply a barren battlefield scorched by flames, never intended to have substantial exploration content.
Yelan’s New Outfit Preview: Summer-Themed Skin Coming in Version 5.8
Now for the two new skins in version 5.8. Bennett’s free skin model has already been revealed, and it’s quite exquisite. As for Yelan’s skin, it hasn’t been fully datamined yet, but based on current information, it’s basically confirmed to be a 5-star skin with brand new special effects!
Yelan’s skin quest involves catching criminals in Fontaine, but after completing the quest, she’ll go on vacation to Natlan with the Traveler. This skin, codenamed ‘Summerwear’, features a refreshing summer outfit design – a short skirt with bare legs and high-heeled sandals. It’s said to also include a hat and optimized hairstyle. The final model will be revealed in the next couple of days, so please be patient! If there’s any new information, I’ll share it with everyone immediately.
